Recently, Honda Siel Cars India launched a popular mid-size sedan – Honda City. The improved version of Honda City is slightly changed in terms of features like a sunroof on the option variant and lower prices.

And while the older version of the R8 was available for quite some time now in India, the latest, more powerful and faster version of this mid-engined monster of a sportscar has made its way to our shores.

Propelled by the powerful V10 engine which makes a staggering 525PS of power and 530Nm of torque, the new Audi R8 V10 goes from zero to 100 km/h in a scant 3.9 seconds, and boasts a heady top speed of 316 km/h! This combined with the lightweight aluminium body built around the Audi Space Frame chassis and the company’s proprietary Quattro permanent four-wheel drive system also makes for a sharp handling package which matches, if not bests, some of the top supercars in the world. The R8 5.2 FSI will be available with a six-speed manual transmission or Audi’s R-tronic electro-hydraulic manual gearbox which manages ultra fast gear changes.”

It quotes a statement of Michael Perschke, Head of Audi India, “The Audi R8 V10 exemplifies our belief in developing and delivering world class automobiles to sports car enthusiasts in India. Embodying our philosophy of “Vorsprung durch Technik,” every Audi R8 5.2 FSI is hand-built and demonstrates paramount engineering excellence that is skillfully blended with distinct design cues which will enable us to establish new benchmarks in the performance sports car segment.”

About the price of the car, the news portal writes, “Completely hand-built with an extensive list of standard equipment, the Audi R8 5.2 FSI is customizable right down to the finest detail, giving performance car enthusiasts an absolutely premium experience. The Audi R8 5.2 FSI will be priced at Rs. 1,32,49,000 (ex-showroom Maharashtra).” The car is launched in the competition of BMW X1.

Recently, BMW informed the launch of X1 in Indian market after the success of its full-scale X5 and X3 models. BMW X1 is the youngest member of its SUV offering to India.

An online news portal about auto industry -, writes about BMW X1, “BMW X1 is available in three exciting variants and is powered by both petrol and diesel engine. BMW X1 is loaded with turbocharger, variable intake geometry and common-rail fuel injection in 1955 cc four-cylinder diesel engine that offers maximum output of 177 Bhp and torque of 350 Nm at 1750- 3000 rpm whereas the petrol engine comes with 1995 cc four-cylinder engine that churns out 150 BHP of maximum power at pm and 200 Nm of maximum torque at 3600 rpm.
